Announcement: Shunsuke Tsuboi, CEO of Sagri Co., Ltd., Participates in the Symposium Celebrating the Establishment of the “Rural Areas” Economic and Living Environment Revitalization Platform
Shunsuke Tsuboi, the CEO of Sagri Co., Ltd., which focuses on solving agricultural and environmental issues through satellite data and AI, recently participated in the symposium marking the establishment of the “Rural Areas” Economic and Living Environment Revitalization Platform, hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries (MAFF).
At the symposium, Mr. Tsuboi engaged in discussions based on the “Challenges and Recommendations from the Perspective of Primary Industry Startups,” a document compiled by our company as part of the Impact Startup Association’s Primary Industry Subcommittee. This subcommittee’s work aims to address the challenges faced by primary industries through innovative approaches.

The symposium was part of the Ministry’s “Rural Revitalization 2.0” initiative, aimed at resolving issues faced by rural communities. The “Rural Areas” Economic and Living Environment Revitalization Project was established to create a platform involving various stakeholders such as government agencies, local governments, post offices, private companies, educational institutions, and financial organizations. The event brought together industry professionals and experts.
Mr. Tsuboi participated in the “Panel Discussion 4: The Possibilities and Prospects of Impact Startups in Solving Issues in Rural Areas.” During this session, he presented the background of local issues addressed in the recommendations, examples of Sagri’s efforts to solve these challenges, and highlighted the unique attractions of rural communities.
