Sagri Signs Partnership Agreement with Namie Town, Fukushima Prefecture

— Collaborating to Support for the Resumption of Farming and Realization of  Sustainable Agriculture —

Sagri Co,.Ltd. (Headquarters: Tamba City, Hyogo Prefecture; CEO: Shunsuke Tsuboi), a company utilizing satellite data and AI to solve agricultural and environmental challenges, is pleased to announce that it has signed a partnership agreement with Namie Town in Futaba District, Fukushima Prefecture. The agreement aims to support the Restart of Farming and the Achieving sustainable agricultural practices in the region.

Namie Town was heavily affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and the subsequent accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, forcing the evacuation of all approximately 21,000 residents. Today, under the national “Specified Reconstruction and Revitalization Base Area Plan for Return and Residence,” the town is advancing decontamination efforts and infrastructure development to create an environment suitable for residents to return.
Under this agreement, focusing on areas within Namie Town where the resumption of farming has been particularly difficult, with the goal of supporting the restart of agriculture and promoting sustainable farming practices
・Utilization of Sagri’s solutions such as satellite data analysis and farmland diagnostics

・Joint promotion of demonstration projects aimed at resuming agricultural activity

・Consideration and implementation of initiatives beneficial to local agriculture

Under the vision of “Achieving Coexistence Between Humanity and the Earth,” Sagri will deepen its collaboration with local governments and agricultural stakeholders through this agreement, contributing to the recovery of Namie Town and the creation of a sustainable agriculture model.
