Sagri Inc. Selected for FY2025 “Digi-PoC TOYAMA” Demonstration Project
— Utilizing Satellite Data and AI to Establish Sustainable Agriculture in Toyama Prefecture —
Sagri Co., Ltd (Headquarters: Tamba City, Hyogo Prefecture; CEO: Shunsuke Tsuboi; hereinafter “Sagri”), a company that leverages satellite data and AI to address challenges in agriculture and the environment, has been selected for the FY2025 “Digi-PoC TOYAMA” demonstration project organized by Toyama Prefecture.
“Digi-PoC TOYAMA” is an initiative that supports projects utilizing advanced digital technologies aimed at solving regional issues and enhancing the well-being of residents in Toyama Prefecture. Out of 48 applications submitted from across Japan, six projects were selected through a rigorous screening process.
Sagri’s demonstration project, titled “Establishing Sustainable Agriculture”, will visualize and analyze farmland conditions using satellite data and AI to identify abandoned farmland, areas facing labor shortages, and land consolidation potential within Toyama Prefecture.
Through this initiative, Sagri aims to promote digital transformation in agricultural management, support corporate participation in the agriculture sector, and contribute to building a sustainable agricultural system in Toyama.
