Graduated from Yokohama National University, Faculty of Science and Technology, Department of Mechanical Engineering, founded Sagri in 2018, and was selected as one of Forbes “30 Under 30 Changing the World” in Japan and Asia. Member of “Study Group on Management of Agricultural Land Information Using Digital Maps” of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) . Member of the “Young Experts' Study Group for Achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2050”, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). Received the Prime Minister's Award at the 6th Space Utilization Awards.

Shu Masuda
After joining ITOCHU Corporation, spent over 10 years in administrative roles across the real estate, industrial & construction machinery, and healthcare sectors. In addition to experience working in the UK, was involved in accounting, finance, corporate planning, and M&A across various business domains. Joined Sagri in 2020 and has since been leading the development of the "Actaba," "Detaba," and "Ninataba" businesses.

Takashi Tanaka
Formerly Associate Professor, Faculty of Applied Biological Sciences, Gifu University, and former JST Emergent Researcher (early graduate). Currently, an Assistant Professor at Aarhus University, Denmark. Specializing in crop science, leading research and development related to the optimization of farming using machine learning and process models. Joined Sagri in 2021 to implement the results of his university research in society.
CFO
Hiroya Ishitsubo
After joining Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, in charge of corporate finance operations as well as project finance, leasing, and LBO transactions. Also involved in the acquisition and management of a North American freight car leasing company. Later, at PwC Advisory, in charge of projects such as business strategy and M&A/alliance strategy development support. Joined Sagri in 2024.
CTO
Naoya Makino
Began career in 2011 as a software engineer at Clio, a startup based in Vancouver. Joined Mercari US in 2016, where held roles as a software engineer and later as an engineering manager. Joined Sagri in 2024. Passionate about contributing to a sustainable future for humanity and the planet through agriculture, AI, and climate tech, with a vision to build a strong engineering organization that drives technological innovation.
Advisor
Akihiko Nagata
From 2008 to 2024, served as Director and CEO of Euglena Co., Ltd. In 2015, co-founded the Real Tech Fund, and in 2024, assumed the role of CEO at UntroD Capital Japan. Has been actively involved in addressing social issues within capitalism, including founding Amekaze Taiyo and serving as an advisor to Heralbony. Appointed as a Director of our company in 2024.
